Bulbine frutescens Avera Sun-Series

Jelitto Perennial Seeds’ breeding program introduces the Bulbine frutescens Avera Sun-Series. Avera Sunrise Yellow and Avera Sunset Orange (pictured) are two distinct color strains with triple-size blooms that are first-year flowering from seed. This South African native is a succulent-leaved clumping plant with lovely spikes of flowers in spring and fall. Its leaves yield a jelly similar to Aloe Vera that soothes burns and moisturizes dry skin with a neutral refreshing scent. Cheerful yellow or orange stars grace these easy-to-grow, drought-tolerant succulents.
