Welcome, Jeb Fields to the Ball Publishing Staff!

We’re proud to welcome Dr. Jeb Fields as the new editor-at-large of our Nursery & Landscape Insider newsletter. Jeb is a faculty member at Louisiana State University Agricultural Center’s Hammond Research Station, where his research and extension program is focused on ornamental plant production parameters and resource efficiency. Specifically, his research centers on soilless substrate hydrology and physics and whole plant-water relations.

He’s also interested in ornamental plant abiotic stress physiology, nursery and landscape irrigation practices, and development of more sustainable ornamental horticulture systems. But as an Extension Specialist in ornamental production, Jeb is involved in every facet of the Green Industry.

Jeb is replacing Dr. Matthew Chappell on our contributing writer staff. We want to thank Matthew for the last seven years of being a valued member of our writing team. We’ve appreciated his extensive knowledge, wit and personality, and know that he’ll continue to appear in these pages and in our newsletters once in a while. GT
