New Dates for FNGLA Convention

In light of the current restrictive nature of gatherings due to the COVID-19 virus, new dates for the 2020 FNGLA Annual Convention are set for Friday and Saturday, August 14-15, 2020 with optional activities taking place Thursday, August 13. 

The convention will take place at the Embassy Suites Oceanfront Resort in St. Augustine Beach as previously planned. In recognition of changing economics, the hotel has reduced the room rate from $211 to $189, inclusive of the resort fee.   

“These are indeed unusual times,” indicated Leah Roesler of Cascade Outdoor Design (Jacksonville), who serves as chairperson of the 2020 FNGLA Annual Convention. “With so many professional meetings scheduled in spring and early summer needing to cancel, we are eager to offer an event which gives FNGLA members a chance to stay up-to-date on industry issues and re-energize important business connections.”

The Embassy Suites has already put into place additional practices and procedures to reduce personal contact and increase sanitization.

“The FNGLA Convention will take place in a different month than usual and may look somewhat different due to safety measures,” according to Linda Adams, FNGLA’s COO. “Yet, it will be a very important place for FNGLA members to convene, assess the current status of the industry and, together, move forward.” GT
