AFE Research Pre-Proposals Due June 1

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) is calling for research pre-proposal applications for 2019-2020.  

Those interested can secure funding for their floriculture research project by applying before the deadline of June 1.

The primary research funding priorities are relevant to all segments of the floral industry:

• Botrytis control and management
• Thrips control and management
• Postharvest technology
• Production technology
• Advanced breeding technology, including CRISPR

Research projects can last from one to three years and any reasonable, but justifiable, budget will be considered. For the current 2018-2019 cycle, the Endowment is funding more than $325,000 in research. AFE’s currently funded research is available online, as well as final research reports from previously funded projects.

Apply at endowment.org and submit all supporting documents by the June 1 deadline. GT
