Chris Corwin, who has served customers in Maryland for over 20 years, will be transitioning his Maryland territory in January of 2024 to Shane Wheeler. Shane was most recently the General Manager of Catoctin Mountain Growers, and as a third-generation greenhouse grower, Shane managed his family’s wholesale greenhouse operation for over seven years after graduating from the University of Maryland.
DÜMMEN ORANGE
Dümmen Orange North America recently welcomed Chris Freeman to its team as western region sales manager. He’s well-known in the flower business through his director and managerial positions with major breeding companies including Ball FloraPlant, Fischer and Syngenta. Previous sales roles include head of sales for North America with Bioline Agrosciences and territory manager with Harrell’s LLC. Early in his career, Chris was a grower with multiple companies, including Colorado Greenhouse Holdings. He previously gained professional experience at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, as a specialist for commercial greenhouses and as an assistant professor.
Dümmen Orange also recently welcomed Angela Storm back to the team as North American product manager for potted crops. She was formerly a regional sales manager for Dümmen Orange North America for nearly six years. After a brief stint elsewhere, Angela returns to the company in a new role that specializes in poinsettias, kalanchoes, potted mums, potted dianthus, African violets and regal geraniums.
Angela’s horticulture expertise includes sales, product management and growing. She comes from a long and well-established career in commercial horticulture. In addition to her previous experience at Dümmen Orange, Angela has worked in various roles for industry names like Dramm Corporation, Ball Horticultural Company and Selecta One. Angela and her husband, Oliver, also own and operate a wholesale growing operation in Encinitas, California. GT
