Dramm Breaks Ground for New HQ
Chris Beytes
Congrats to The Dramm Corporation on the groundbreaking for their new headquarters in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
The new 98,000 sq. ft. building will be Dramm’s first newly constructed building since John Dramm started the company in 1941. He started making aluminum water breaker nozzles (the famous 400 model) in his basement, then moved into two smaller buildings on the south side of Manitowoc before purchasing the current facility. After four additions, the current site is at the property capacity with no options to expand.
The new site, located in the Manitowoc Industrial Park, will increase Dramm’s warehouse and office space. Additionally, there will be space for the third-generation business to expand in the future.
The new headquarters will feature:
• A 2,400-sq. ft. research greenhouse for testing and demonstrating products of Dramm's four business segments: Commercial Greenhouse Equipment, Retail Gardening Products, Drammatic Organic Fertilizer, and DRAMMwater for greenhouse water treatment systems
• A 621-sq. ft. testing facility
• A large showroom to display products and hold meetings
The warehouse construction is scheduled to be completed in October 2021, while the office construction will be completed in May 2022.
