Monrovia CEO Stepping Down After 40 Years

Jennifer Zurko

Monrovia Nursery Company announced that Miles Rosedale will step down from his role as CEO, but remain Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors. The move was effective December 31, 2020. Monrovia’s Board has initiated a search for a new CEO and the company will remain family- owned.

“While 2020 has been an extremely challenging year, it has also been one of Monrovia’s most rewarding,” Miles said in a press release. “Now is the right time for this transition to take place. Consumers have rediscovered the beauty of their landscapes and our future looks bright. I have been discussing this transition with our shareholders and board of directors for some time. We are fortunate to have shareholders and a board of directors who continue to support the mission and values of our family-owned company.”

The Board is conducting a search for a new CEO to take the role in 2021 to allow for a thoughtful transition. GT
