Nature’s Source Gets New Owner

In September, Ball Horticultural Company shut down its Nature’s Source fertilizer division (known officially as Ball DPF, for Daniels Plant Food, the original name). At that time, they’d been unable to find a buyer for the brand.

In December, they found a buyer—an unnamed “strategic private investor”—who will keep the product alive and well. Ball Seed, and other distributors, will continue to offer the same Nature’s Source formulations—excellent news for Nature’s Source users.

As for the buyer, they apparently want to keep a low profile. They’re described as having “almost 40-years of commercial experience in the agricultural industry, with success driven by the sale of crop protection products, bio-stimulants, biologicals and soil amendment products throughout North America.” GT
