Dramm Partners with Vifra to Offer Humidity Management
Jennifer Zurko
Dramm announced that it’s partnering with Vifra, the specialists in humidity management, to offer solutions to North American customers.
Vifra’s systems work to increase or decrease humidity as conditions demand. Often, these systems can be used in coordination with each other to adjust humidity levels throughout the day, allowing for the right climate for any crop at any time of day. Dramm will be offering Vifra’s high-pressure fog and dehumidification systems to North American growers to help them optimize their growing climates.
Founded in 1994 by Vincenzo Russo in Rome, Italy, Vifra produces systems designed for easy maintenance and long life. Vifra systems use custom pumps, running at lower speeds, to reduce wear and ease maintenance, and utilize a decentralized approach to removing excess moisture from the greenhouse atmosphere. Dehumidification systems can aide in transpiration and reduce energy usage caused by reheating the greenhouse air during cold weather venting. By positioning the dehumidification units throughout the greenhouse, a more uniform result is achieved.
