Road Trippin’ to Trials

You may be thinking, “We’re talking about Spring Trials already?!” But for the breeders and suppliers on this list, they began planning for this annual event shortly after last year’s ended.

There are only a few changes to the schedule this year:

• Proven Winners is moving closer, to a winery in Gilroy.

• PAC-Elsner will be at the Floricultura stop in Salinas.

• There will be no stop at the Ventura Botanical Gardens this year. Suntory will be at the GroLink stop in Oxnard and EuroAmerican Propagators will be holding a pre-Spring Trials event at their facility in Bonsall in Southern California. From April 7-9, visitors are welcome to come see how EuroAmerican is “bringing the trials back to the California Spring Trials” by showing their newly expanded in-ground, year-round field trials that feature plants from all of their product categories, including succulents and shrubs. • Other than Suntory, there are also a couple more new breeders displaying at GroLink, making it the largest stop with 14 companies.
