Rodd Moesel Honored in Oklahoma
Chris Beytes

Rodd Moesel, president and co-owner of American Plant Products and Services Inc. in Oklahoma City, was just the 17th Oklahoman to be inducted into the state’s Agriculture Hall of Fame—quite the honor for somebody from our end of the agricultural spectrum!
As part of the induction, Rodd received the Governor’s Outstanding Achievement Award in Agriculture.
American Plant Products and Services Inc. is a wholesale company that sells greenhouse structures, equipment and supplies as well as foliage and potted plants.
Rodd didn’t get the honor by staying locked up in the greenhouse. He’s been active and dedicated to Oklahoma agriculture starting with 4-H as a kid. His CV is extensive, including: Oklahoma Farm Bureau Board; Oklahoma State 4-H Foundation; Council for Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching; graduate of the Oklahoma Agriculture Leadership Program; Green Industry Professional of the Year award from the Oklahoma Nursery and Landscape Association in 2013; State Alumni Award from the Oklahoma 4-H Program in 2007; State Distinguished Service Award from the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association in 1996; Oklahoma State Small Business Advocate Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration in 1991; and Oklahoma Master Florist Award from the Oklahoma State Florist Association in 1991.
