Griffin Greenhouse Supplies Acquires W.H. Milikowski

Jennifer Zurko
Griffin Greenhouse Supplies announced it’s acquired W.H. Milikowski, Inc. The acquisition of W.H. Milikowski marks the second expansion of Griffin in recent months, following the purchase of Syngenta Horticultural Services in November 2012.

Griffin is a provider of greenhouse and nursery supplies, serving professional growers since 1947. Through its hardgoods business, Griffin spans a 20-state region from Maine to Georgia. Griffin serves the industry on a national scale via its SHS Griffin greengoods division. Founded in 1972, W.H. Milikowski is a first-class distributor of hardgoods and greengoods to the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions.

“We are thrilled that Mark Milikowski and most of his team will join the Griffin family,” said Rick Hyslip, president of Griffin. “With the addition of their Stafford Springs, Connecticut, location, we now have 15 distribution centers available to supply high-quality horticultural products to the marketplace. We intend to make the transition as seamless as possible for both our customers and our employees. Griffin will continue to offer the same knowledge, service and support our customers expect and for which we’ve been recognized throughout the years.”

Craig Hyslip, chief operating officer of Griffin, said, “This growth is indicative of our continued commitment to the horticulture industry. We’re uniquely positioned to meet the needs of professional growers, with unparalleled breadth and depth.” GT
