RootShield WP Now Available in Canada

Canada is strict on anything good for controlling pests, which is why it’s always good news when they approve something—which they’ve just done with RootShield WP biological fungicide, from BioWorks. It’s a new, improved formulation of RootShield HC that replaces clay with a water-soluble carrier for easier mixing and suspension, which reduces clogging in application and irrigation equipment. 



RootShield WP provides preventative control of major root diseases, including pythium, fusarium and rhizoctonia. The product’s active ingredient, the highly effective hybrid fungus Trichoderma harzianum, strain T-22, grows on roots, protecting them against damaging fungi. 



It’s registered for indoor and outdoor root disease control on greenhouse and outdoor ornamentals and vegetables, and has a 4-hour Restricted Entry Interval (REI). Currently all BioWorks products available in Canada are distributed through Koppert Canada Limited. GT
