D.S. Cole Growers Offers New 52 Tray

Jennifer Zurko
D.S. Cole Growers located in Loudon, New Hampshire, announced a new rooting tray option for their color line of young plants. For the 2011-2012 season, D.S. Cole will continue using the split 102 tray with products offered in quantities of 51. In an answer to ongoing freight concerns, they’re also rooting in a 52-count strip. These liners will be spaced on Cole’s benches during the rooting process and then boxed to allow three times the normal amount of product in a shipping box.

Owner Doug Cole says that not only will the price of the liner will be less than their traditional line, but freight will be approximately one third the cost. For the coming year, they will focus on mainline products such as calibrachoa, petunias and verbena.
