Caladium Iceberg is a strap leaf variety, which is unique among commercial varieties. It has a mottled cream and dark green pattern with dark red coloration where the petiole attaches to the leaf blade. For the most striking color pattern, Iceberg should be de-eyed for pot production and can be grown in pots 4-in. and up. Intermediate in size and sun tolerant, Iceberg is useful in any part of the landscape.


BASF Corporation
BASF offers new larger, more-economical packaging options on two key products. Pendulum AquaCap herbicide is available for a limited time in a 110-gal. drum during the Early Order Program that ends December 11, 2009. Broad-spectrum Insignia fungicide is now available in a 36-lb. drum and can be purchased with greater cost savings during the Early Order Program. Pendulum AquaCap offers pre-emergent weed control of more than 40 broadleaf and grassy weeds. Insignia fungicide controls a broad spectrum of turf diseases.


Biobest Biological Systems
The Poinsettia-Mix-System from Biobest is a new product formulation specially produced to protect poinsettia crops from both species of whitefly. The new formulation comes on cards that release 30 Encarsia formosa and 40 Eretmocerus mundus; the recommended release rate of parasites for 10 sq. m. or 100 sq. ft. One box contains 100 cards, the exact number to protect 1,000 sq. m. or 10,000 sq. ft.
