Mourning Gertrud Pöppelmann

Gertrud Pöppelmann, sole stockholder of the Pöppelmann Group, passed away on April 18, 2009 at the age of 84. Gertrud joined her husband’s company in 1953, and after his death in 1983, continued with the high-tech plastics manufacturer as managing director with her brother-in-law Karl-Heinz Diekmann. In 1997 she moved into an advisory postion, which she held until her death.

The Pöppelmann Group and its 1400 employees develop and manufacture high-tech plastic products for customers in more than 70 countries worldwide in its plants in Lohne, Germany; Rixheim, France; and Claremont, North Carolina. Pöppelmann Plastics USA LLC has manufactured the TEKU horticultural products in its new plant in Claremont since 2007.
