Register Today for the National Floriculture Forum

Jennifer Zurko

The National Floriculture Forum (NFF) is set for March 2-4 in Central Florida. An annual educational meeting for greenhouse growers, industry leaders, university faculty, graduate students and government scientists from academic institutions, governmental agencies and the greenhouse industry, the NFF is a group of floriculturists that have been meeting since 1999.

The NFF brings together diverse floricultural communities with the objectives to: 1) address issues of importance to the floriculture industry; 2) form collaborative relationships; and 3) improve communication within the American floriculture industry to share and disseminate information.

On the first day of the forum, the group will travel to Apopka to visit Roseville Farms, LiveTrends, the Mid Florida Research & Extension Center of UF and Knox Nursery. On March 3, the day begins with a business meeting with presentations followed by a trip to Winter Park, which is an “America in Bloom” award winner, and then a private tour of Leu Gardens in Orlando. On Sunday, March 4, attendees can depart for home or visit the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.

Registration for the NFF is only $150 for three days thanks to financial support from the American Floral Endowment. To register, go to http://endowment.org and click on the National Floriculture Forum link, followed by the Registration link. For specific questions, contact the 2018 event organizer, Dr. Liz Felter, at lfelter@ufl.edu. GT
